On April 25th 2006, a day that will live in infirmary, I was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus. The world accelerated, leaving me behind. I put an email together, called esophagossip, to help me catch up and to let friends and family know what was going on. The email was very popular and so I sent another a few days later. I'm concerned that some people are not going to want the level of detail though so I've decided to document the battle with "The Beast" in a blog. My lovely wife of 37 years, Kathy, is in the fight with me which makes the outcome a foregone conclusion - victory.

Gill and I are very interested in what is happening to you. We log on every day to keep up with all the news. As always you are an inspiration to all who know and love you. We hope sincerely that you are well enough to enjoy Kevin's big day in July.
